Umathum Blaufrankisch 2020This is a blend of Pepi Umathum's vineyards with vines up to 28 years old on the North West side of Lake Neusiedlersee. The soils are a dominated by calcareous deposits of limestone and loamy chalk with a bit of slate and benefit from the cool winds off the mountains to the north of the lake and have a long slow ripening season. Umathum follows biodynamic farming practices but is no longer certified. Grapes are handpicked and ages in old oak barrels
