Brilliant! I have been convinced for some time that the opening verses of I John were speaking about the resurrection and not the incarnation per se. Not that these two are opposed to one another, which is evident from Jensen's title: resurrection presupposes incarnation, but what John has specifically in mind in his letter's opening is the resurrection. So, when John says in his opening "That which was from the beginning, which we heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and have touched with our hands concerning the word of life..." What was heard, seen, looked upon, and touched was the resurrected Christ (cf. John 20:24-29). And next, "the life was manifest" would mean the new life Jesus was resurrected to, that is eternal life never to die again. And now what John has seen and heard concerning the resurrection he has proclaimed to the recipients of his letter. Moreover, it is the resurrection that confirms that Jesus is the Christ; it is his vindication by the Father that he was exactly who he claimed to be and was unjustly put to death by his fellow Jews. This then means that the major conflict taken up within the letter is over the resurrection. To deny the resurrection is to deny that Jesus is the Christ and vice versa. In fact, this is the spirit of the antichrist.
Jensen goes into much more detail than this, and provides a reading of the entirety of the letter through the lens of the resurrection. His reading is overall successful and convincing. There is a portion here or there that I would differ from him, but Jensen's thesis is sound and makes remarkable sense of John's epistle. I highly recommend this book.

LOVE MY SINK CADDY!

This caddy is such a game changer for my kitchen. It keeps everything neat and in one place AND no more clutter around the sink! I can fit my soap, sponges, and brushes easily, and it still looks nice on the counter. The drying base really works too! It absorbs water fast and doesn’t get gross like other trays I’ve had. Great size and you can configure it to accommodate a range of soaps and gadgets. The brush holder can be moved to the outside for more storage area in the main basket. The little divider adjust across the wires and it stays in place. The stone bottom absorbs drips quickly and I haven’t noticed any discoloration on it. It stays in place on the sink edge. Perfect for my organization needs and keeps the area neat vs tossing the brushes on the ledge leaving water marks on the counter. It was packaged well and the coating seems good! I bought a cheaper one and it came bent, with the coating popped off in several places. This one is worth paying a little bit more for the quality!

Wonderful, roomy caddy

I don't usually write reviews, but this is a great product to share. This sink caddy is everything they say it is. The bottom drying stone protects the counter surface from getting wet and sponges, etc. dry in a reasonable amt. of time. I love the basket for tall items like brushes- enough room for two- and the removable partition to use however one wants. I debated getting this longer one, but I am glad I did because it fits quite a bit. I even use the one side with the partition for a spray bottle. It also looks very nice and feels like a quality product. I wasn't sure if the black metal would go well with my beige countertop, but it looks great. I highly recommend it.
